Dear Supporters,

Here is all the latest news from the Old Xaverians Football Club.

This time last weekend we were preparing for 4 teams to play games for places in the Grand Final, and an opportunity for Premiership glory.

History now tells us that the ledger was split evenly with 2 wins and 2 losses. The big one, the Seniors, was unfortunately one of those losses, as Collegians proved to be too good on the day. Our other lose was suffered by the Thirds who also went down to Collegians after they burst out of the blocks and held on despite a spirited effort by our boys.

The two wins came from our Reserves and Shane Healy’s Under 23 Thirds, and with the wins they have not just earned Grand Final births, but a much needed and appreciated week off to freshen up.

So, that just leaves this weekend, and 2 Preliminary finals, and the Under 19 Premier Grand Final. Let’s start with the Under 19’s who play on Saturday at Central Reserve against De La Salle. Then on Sunday the Thirds take on Uni Blues and the Seniors take on De La Salle at Sportscover Arena – click here for a rundown on venues and times.

On Saturday night there will be a celebration of the Under 19’s season at The Skinny Dog in Kew. All are welcome and the night kicks off at 6.30pm.

Go Xavs!
