Season 2014 is now only 1 sleep away!

There is a real air of excitement around the club, excellent numbers on the track.  A good test was at this week’s selection, definite quality across all teams with a good deal of the training group playing in the 3rds on the weekend.

The off season is now over; a lot of work was again done across all facets of the club, from sponsorship through to coaching appointments, fitness and recruitment.

The focus for the playing group is best described by their 2014 mantra, EARNING RESPECT on the back of a very tough and testing 2013.

Disappointingly we had several boys depart in the off season, opting to play elsewhere rather than stay on and be part of our rebuild. Encouragingly though we have recruited well, several very good senior footballers have signed on plus the return of some former players and a swag of Unders, always room for more.

The boys have worked hard under the watchful eye of new senior coach, Glenn Cox and have really got fit.  There has been a lot of positive energy in their approach and I know they will be doing their utmost to redeem themselves and the club for our poor showing in 2013.

So it’s now time to play for keeps, the VAFA have been kind with the fixture this year, all 4 teams play at home on each occasion the seniors are fixtured to play at home.  This will allow for a real club feel at Bulleen and help develop our culture, 4 TEAMS ONE CLUB!

We start this weekend away to Mazenod, up from Premier C last year, plenty to look forward to and time for you to show the boys your support.

I look forward to seeing you all soon.
